First of all, I wish the children have fun, striking their brush carefree even without bothering the size of the paper, feeling good vibes from the brush.
While having fun, children learn basic brushworks and other skills necessary for Japanese calligraphy. Handling both the brush and the pen, developing awareness of the letters and characters.
The course is open to all, from absolute beginners to those who are advanced to take certificate examination.
There is a certificate called ”kohitsu/mohitsu shosha kentei“ backed up by the Ministry of Education*, Government of Japan. This is recognised as a qualification, and also good for determining your progress. The teacher can assist in obtaining a certificate, too.
